After running an animal shelter for 10 years and fostering animals for over 20 years, Preethi gained expertise in looking after dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
She learnt the risks and responsibilities in looking after them for so long. For years she wanted to start a boarding facility which would be a home for animals to stay when their parents travel. In July 2022, she realized a dream through Paws Happy Homestay, a beautiful facility where pet parents can rest assured that their pets will be in caring hands. The facility provides a grooming centre, individual kennel space, a well equipped kitchen to cook hygienic food for the dogs, a play area, ceiling fans, special diets as required and more. She soon plans to have a swimming pool as well for the dogs. Most of the dogs that come to the facility come through word of mouth and most dogs that come once, become regular boarders.

Dogs will be taken in for boarding only with a valid vaccination certificate(for anti rabies and multi component vaccine) . The parent needs to provide a copy of his/ her Aadhar card and also fill in a form.

PAWS also provides permanent boarding facilities at the shelter at a lesser price, but the dogs do not get the individual attention that they would at Paws Happy Homestay. Indoor dogs that have led comfortable lives at home will find it difficult to adjust to the atmosphere at the shelter.

Either way, permanent boarding will require execution of an agreement on stamp paper
